Visas
Participants are advised to obtain appropriate entry visas from diplomatic/consular missions of Nepal abroad.
Upon prior request, on-arrival visas may also be available at the airport in Kathmandu. For this, participants are required to submit via email, a completed visa application form (https://nepaliport.immigration.gov.np) along with a copy of passport having at least six months validity prior to departure, a recent photograph and travel itineraries to the Secretariat, no later than 09 May 2025.
How to apply?
Attendees may obtain a visa either online through Nepal’s official Department of Immigration portal or upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport.
To apply, participants must have a valid passport with at least six months of validity, two recent passport-sized photographs, invitation letter from Sagarmatha Sambaad, travel itinerary, and a duly filled application form (duplicate copies).

Which airport should I fly?
International flights to Nepal will arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport which is 10 KM approximate to the venue
Are there any COVID restrictions on entering the Nepal?
Currently, there are no mandatory COVID-19 testing or vaccination requirements for visitors. Sagarmatha Sambaad are advised to check the latest updates from the event organisers closer to the event date.

Yes, there are 24/7 currency exchange windows inside the terminals.
Transportation
Necessary transport facilities will be arranged for the heads of state/government and ministers as per the protocol of the Government of Nepal.
Delegations intending to use privately owned vehicles and/or embassy vehicles are requested to provide the registration numbers of the vehicles and the names of drivers to the Secretariat by 09 May 2025.
Taxi
Taxis in Kathmandu will be available for guests, using apps like Pathao and Indrive app. Please note that taxis do not have card payment systems so needs to pay cash.

Shuttle bus
Scheduled shuttle transportation services will be provided for all participants to and from the airport/Sambaad venue.

Health
Participants are advised to have appropriate travel and medical insurance prior to travelling to Kathmandu. Primary medical services will be available at The Soaltee Kathmandu, operated during the event hours.
Should delegates require medical treatment and services from the hospitals, the expenses will be the responsibility of the participants. For details of major hospitals nearby and ambulance services, please contact the medical help desk set-up in the Sambaad venue.
While emergency medications are available at the venue, having your own supply is crucial for personal safety. Make sure to carry medications in your hand luggage, along with a doctor’s note or prescription copy, especially if traveling internationally.
For those with severe allergies, such as food allergies or anaphylaxis, it is essential to travel with your prescribed medications, including an EpiPen (epinephrine auto-injector).
