Mr. Gyan Chandra Acharya is a former Foreign Secretary and the UN Under Secretary-General and High Representatives for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States. Prior to joining the UN, Mr. Acharya was Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations in New York (2009-12) and Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and the World Trade Organization in Geneva (2003-2007).
